The Project

The City of Stirling has a wide range of heritage properties within its boundaries, particularly in the suburbs of Inglewood, Menora and Mount Lawley, as well as unique residences like Marsala House, also known as ‘Dianella’s Disco House.’ Our heritage team assists the City by providing heritage advice and support across a wide range of matters.

Our Role

As the City’s trusted heritage advisor, element delivers pragmatic and consistent advice and a full range of services where required and have also worked to assist the City with the review of its Heritage List, to prepare its Heritage Strategy and to judge the History and Heritage Awards. Our long-standing relationship is testament to the quality of the service provided.

Outcomes

Our work has resulted in a range of outcomes including providing development application advice, heritage impact assessments for demolition proposals and general advice/assistance on heritage management issues. We have also prepared conservation management plans, developed policies and participated in community education and consultation. We also represent the City at State Administrative Tribunal reviews.
