Carmel is a cultural heritage professional and highly experienced graduate historian and writer. Her strong contextual knowledge supports a wide range of heritage work providing inspiration, understanding and shared value. She advocates for a deeper understanding of shared history.

Carmel has extensive experience in undertaking historical research for conservation management plans, interpretation, thematic histories, local government heritage surveys, heritage assessments and impact statements. Carmel is a member of the Professional Historians Association of Australia, as well as a qualified librarian with expert skills in archival and digital research.
