Daniel Lees

Principal - Planning

Dan is a major projects specialist, well known and respected for his strategic advice and expert guidance in navigating high profile, high value developments through to approval.

He has a practical, outcomes driven approach and a proven track record resolving complex development challenges, drawing from his in-depth knowledge of metropolitan and regional regulatory frameworks along with his strong government networks.

Dan’s work in the inner-city has included comprehensive due diligence assessments, influencing development approvals, such as balancing heritage and contemporary redevelopment at Raine Square, securing the first development approvals for commercial development at Elizabeth Quay and unlocking additional development potential via plot ratio bonuses at the iconic QV1 and Allendale Square. He has niche experience in preparing airport masterplans and their specific regulatory requirements. In the future he sees proposed strata-title reform, and the increasing emphasis on design quality and amenity outcomes leading to a significant shake up of commercial and mixed use development drivers across the state.
