Sharon Hughes

Consultant - Heritage

Sharon recently completed a Master of Architecture from the University of Western Australia, and has a background in Software Engineering. She has a keen interest in architectural conservation and the adaptive re-use of historic buildings, with a focus on historical building methods and materials.

Prior to joining element Sharon worked with a Consulting Architect of Conservation on properties for the National Trust of Western Australia. She assisted in the development of a Conservation Monitoring System for heritage buildings managed by the National Trust.

Sharon assists with the Practical Building Conservation Unit offered at the University of Western Australia, mentoring students on site visits as part of the unit curriculum.
