Lewis has extensive knowledge of the Western Australian planning system, with particular insight into statutory planning processes and policy interpretation. Armed with this information, he sees every constraint as an opportunity. Lewis unpacks planning frameworks and tailors solutions for clients to facilitate development opportunities in complex areas, such as Fremantle’s West End, Bayswater’s Town Centre and inner-city areas of Perth.

With State government experience, Lewis understands both public and private sector development drivers. He is adept at working with architects, engineers and other technical experts to achieve holistic project responses and as such, his project experience covers residential, mixed use and commercial through to strategic infrastructure projects and essential services.

As Perth’s population increases, Lewis continues to focus on supporting strategically important infrastructure projects for the State, along with quality residential, mixed-use and commercial development outcomes located close to high frequency transport options.

  • Various Development Applications to support PTA rail infrastructure projects, including Bayswater Station, Yanchep Rail Extension, Nowergup Railcar Depot, Meltham and Ashfield Station upgrades.
  • Various Development Applications to support Water Corporation infrastructure, including Beenyup Groundwater Replenishment Scheme, Sepia Depression Ocean Outlet Landline and the Cast Iron Renewal Program.
  • Planning advisory services to facilitate the development of an upgraded Helicopter Landing Site (HLS) at Royal Perth Hospital and ongoing input into the protection of Emergency Helicopter Rescue Services for the State Trauma Centre at RPH.
  • Preparation and lodgement of various complex mixed use, residential, office and other commercial developments in the Perth Metropolitan Region, including LIV Apartments in Fremantle, Lot 508 Claremont on the Park, Government offices in the Mirrabooka Town Centre, numerous upgrades to the Mirrabooka Square Shopping Centre and Belmont Forum Shopping Centre.
  • Due Diligence investigations to support Connected Living Site Investigation Studies for Housing Authority and Cecil Avenue Planning and Urban Design Study to inform potential future development opportunities.
