Karen is currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Architectural Conservation at the University of WA with an undergraduate in Architecture.
As an emerging heritage consultant, Karen is passionate about the importance of preserving and protecting cultural heritage sites, artifacts, and traditions to provide future generations with an ongoing sense of belonging and place.
Karen has experience across a wide range of heritage projects including the preparation of archival records, building condition reports, architectural documentation with AutoCAD software and graphics capabilities for heritage reports and guidelines. She particularly enjoys going on site and experiencing the built form in person and finds great joy in transferring her site visits and photo documentation to technical drawings that captures every detail of the project.
Karen has worked with a range of clients including government agencies and private clients. She has also collaborated with other professionals such as architects, engineers, developers and consultants to ensure best practice and outcomes for their conservation.
Karen has also engaged with communities and volunteered during Perth Heritage Week hoping to educate and increase understanding of the importance of cultural heritage.
