James Lewisson

Associate - Planning

A disciplined and hardworking member of element’s Planning Team, James is responsible for navigating the complexities of Western Australia’s statutory framework. He works to facilitate exemplar-built form and land outcomes through detailed planning and early engagement with government bodies across a variety of industry sectors.

James’ experience is spread across a number of commercial projects in the retail, health and service sectors as well as mixed use apartment buildings and large-scale residential towers. James adopts an outcome-based approach to all planning matters, working with Clients and government bodies to achieve economical and high-quality outcomes for a site or precinct.

James is inspired by big cities such as London, Berlin and Tokyo that he feels get transport planning and surrounding land use right. Believing that the success of a growing city is largely reliant on the movement of an increasing population, James sees transport planning as a key opportunity to influence the success of Perth as the population grows.
