George Ashton

Associate - Planning

George is a vital member of the planning team and works to conceptualise and document development applications for residential, commercial, hotel and mixed use places across a range of contexts. He joined element in 2013 after graduating from UWA with honours in Urban and Regional Planning.

Career highlights so far comprise involvement in various complex development applications, including The Towers development at Lots 9 and 10 Elizabeth Quay, the approved QV1 redevelopment, and Finbar Group’s Aurelia development in the South Perth Station Precinct. His focus areas also include the preparation and lodgement of scheme amendment requests, conducting due diligence investigations, and undertaking development assessments for a range of state government agencies. George brings an outcome oriented approach to all projects and his well-developed negotiation skills are founded in a professional, courteous style.

George sees the need to develop innovative forms of housing to deliver affordability, versatility and choice as a key challenge for Perth into the future.
