Emily is an accomplished designer, strategist and project manager, working at the forefront of place creation and activation. She has been involved with many successful public spaces that have been designed, developed and delivered.
Known for her creativity and professionalism, Emily’s skills include her ‘big picture thinking’ such as her vision, story telling, continuity and value-adding. She has a keen eye for detail, processes, quality control and style. She is passionate about extracting the ‘essence or spirit’ of place, often overlapping multiple values and functions into one element.
Emily views places and the arts as key community connectors and she often works as a link between community, developers, government and consultants to help seek out results that will mutually benefit everyone. Emily is currently teaching the topics of master planning and sense of place at the University of Western Australia and Swinburne/UDIA.
