PLACE

Strategically located on the doorstep of the Perth CBD, 400 metres from Perth Train Station, WorkZone is a sustainable office campus offering A-grade office space at the heart of an emerging inner-urban commercial neighbourhood. It’s a catalyst development, which is transforming Pier Street and the surrounding area, offering a new commercial anchor within walking distance to Hay Street Mall and Northbridge.

OUR
ROLE

We delivered the full scope of planning services for the development pre and post-design, including:

  • Statutory planning due diligence investigations and planning strategy advice to inform development options including the potential for a town planning scheme amendment to increase the base plot ratio applicable; and
  • Preparation and development of the complex development application working with Charter Hall and the design team

OUTCOMES

The proposal to redevelop existing under-utilised commercial/light industrial land into a contemporary A-Grade office building required an integrated and strategic planning response to achieve a plot ratio bonus through high quality office floor space, a central landscaped courtyard and an integral cross-site link between Pier and Nash Streets.
