element have been assisting SwanCare with realising its aspirations as a leading provider of aged care and retirement living in Western Australia. Our services have included Master Planning and statutory planning services to secure planning approval for several redevelopment projects. This includes SwanCare’s innovative $55 million retirement living, aged care and leisure precinct adding 124 rooms, a library, gym, indoor heated pool, fitness centre, sound and light garden and other amenities.  

We were appointed to provide an overarching plan for clear direction on the redevelopment and future configuration of the site, and provided the critical communication link between our in-house technical professionals and the residents, SwanCare Staff and key stakeholders. We facilitated a number of resident and Board workshops that set the vision for Bentley Park as well as guiding them through the design and development application processes.  

Our project approach built the capacity of the residents and the Board to understand the design rationale as well as influence the Master Plan and development outcomes. We have since successfully obtained a number of development approvals aligning with the Master Plan and have recently commenced a further review of the site’s strategic planning and positioning.
