Sabina Residential Development

FINBAR GROUP LIMITED | Applecross, WA

THE
PLACE

As a catalyst development site within the Canning Bridge Activity Centre Plan area, Finbar’s Sabina development features a 30-storey tower with 173 one, two and three-bedroom apartments and resort-style amenities in the riverside Applecross location. It is the first of the three towers on the 8072sqm site. The precinct is designed to link Canning Highway and Kintail Road via a shared pedestrian and car laneway, lined with commercial space for cafes, restaurants, small bars and boutique stores.

ROLE

element managed all facets of the statutory planning and approvals process to ensure Sabina delivered on its vision, whilst intensifying residential densities in the area and delivering significant improvements to the surrounding public realm. A key consideration was designing and planning for a staged delivery of the development, owning to the large landholding and dual road frontage.

OUTCOMES

We worked collaboratively with the City of Melville’s Design Advisory Group and the project team to progressively refine the design of the development, ensuring achievement of design excellence, strategic site outcomes and statutory compliance.
