The Project
element was appointed by the Department of Communities (Communities) to design and deliver engagement for the Ryans Court project in Redcliffe. To align with Communities Affordable Housing Plan of ‘People, Place, Home’, Ryans Court project aims to create a strong, diverse, integrated community close to a new train station; great transport links; a range of employment opportunities; community services and; activities. Community engagement will ensure accurate information is conveyed about the future of the site and built interest and support for development of Ryans Court. The intention was for Communities to form relationships to catalyse other development in the Redcliffe area.
Our Role
The Engagement Team worked closely with the Department of Communities to deliver a comprehensive engagement approach to guide the project. Through a range of community engagement methods including letters, online surveying and expos, an ample list of clear project messages was created for the client. We facilitated the engagement methods and summarised the findings for the client.
Outcomes
The engagement process reached approximately 247 participants which informed a range of community and stakeholder feedback and preferences.This allowed the project team to identify major themes and high-level analysis of the community. Community participation results helped to guide the major themes of movement, built form, neighbourhood and environment.
