Onslow Water Tanks

The Project
The Shire of Ashburton recently underwent a procurement process to commission an artist to paint Onslow’s two Water Corp tanks. The process did not result in the successful commissioning of an artist, and as such our team has been brought in to restart the process and ensure the commission is managed in line with best practice processes to get the best possible outcome for the Shire.
The tanks are highly visible, and as a result the murals will become a major asset for the Shire as the entry statements to the town of Onslow.
Our Role
Our team worked closely with the Shire to release a call out for community members for an Artwork Selection Working Group to guide the selection of artists and select the final design on behalf of the community. We have since released an Expression of Interest for WA artists, from which the Working Group will select artists to create concept designs for the tanks.
In early 2022 we will be facilitating the working group and the selection and contracting of the preferred artist, as well as the ongoing project management and delivery of the work.
