The Project
This project involved the development of a multi-storey aged care and retirement living facility within the Mirrabooka Town Centre. The project features a 112 bed residential aged care facility and 45 retirement living apartments contained within two interconnected buildings, together with ground floor allied health and commercial tenancies serving residents and the community. The facility opened to residents in early 2020.
Our Role
element provided planning services to obtain development approval for the facility including the provision of town planning advice during design development; obtaining amendments to the planning framework to ensure MYVISTA’s aspirations for their site were appropriately recognised coordinating the preparation and lodgement of the development application documentation; post lodgement and approvals process services; responding to issues raised; and presenting to the Development Assessment Panel. In 2019, we were subsequently engaged to obtain approval to a minor modification to a revised car parking layout.
Outcomes
element worked collaboratively with the City of Stirling and the project team to resolve aspects of the proposal and ensure achievement of strategic site outcomes and statutory planning matters. The development represents the evolution of the provision of vertically integrated aged living within a vibrant, community focused environment.
