Ramsay Health Care has required planning services to progress a number of complex development applications for the expansion of Hollywood Private Hospital. Working with renowned health care architect Silver Thomas Hanley, element has progressed development applications for a 5-storey Consulting Centre, Mental Health Ward expansion, South Block and Emergency Ward and other minor development applications and planning services.

element provided timely and thorough planning advice to our client in ensuring that the Consulting Centre and Mental Health Ward expansion could be progressed in a very constrained planning framework. We reviewed the provisions of the draft Local Planning Scheme No. 3 to advocate for suitable provisions to enable development to progress appropriately under the new Scheme once adopted; and then prepared and progressed the development application for the first western suburbs private emergency hospital service. The development applications were progressed efficiently to ensure timely delivery of hospital and health care services from Hollywood Private Hospital. This was achieved through working collaboratively with the City of Nedlands and the project team to resolve issues around traffic, car parking and limitations of the planning frameworks.

Our ability and expertise in progressing complex development applications has resulted in every development application lodged by element on behalf of Ramsay Health Care to date being approved with a number of the buildings either completed, nearing completion or works substantially commenced. These outcomes were achieved with a productive working relationship with all relevant parties including the City of Nedlands, Department of Transport and Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage to work through issues providing solutions as they arose.
