Claremont on the Park

LANDCORP | Claremont, WA

THE
PLACE

Claremont on the Park will comprise more than 750 new homes, state of the art clubrooms for Claremont Football Club, community facilities and seamless park and ride transport facilities. The 9.4-hectare infill site is located on the northern side of the Claremont railway station, close to Claremont town centre and bounded by the railway line, Graylands Road, Davies Road and Lapsley Road.

OUR
ROLE

We undertook an urban design review and testing process to examine a proposed site layout and development configuration, promoting an outcome that fronted and interfaced with surrounding streets, locating height toward the perimeter of each site. We prepared a detailed Master Plan, Design Guidelines and Subdivision Plans for the site.

OUTCOMES

Our work entailed reviewing the existing Structure Plan and testing and resolving urban design options for the precinct. We developed the project vision in collaboration with multiple stakeholders. Our response created compact urban spaces and multifunctional recreation spaces to service the local community and Club’s needs, integrating Club activities with the future residential area. The outputs included a detailed Master Plan, Design Guidelines and Subdivision Plans for the site.
