We are looking for an experienced Planner who has the relevant town planning qualifications, and experience working in Western Australian town planning, with a Statutory Planning focus, and a strong understanding of WA planning policy, law, practice and systems from either the private sector or government.

The Role

The key functions and responsibilities of this role include preparing and progressing development, subdivision, and structure planning applications through the relevant statutory authorities; the clearance of subdivision and development approval conditions; preparation of scheme amendments; conducting due diligence investigations and providing advice to clients or statutory authorities.

If you have 2+ years’ experience (Consultant) or 4-6+ years’ experience (Senior) we would like to hear from you.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Sound technical knowledge and experience: Preparing planning reports, written planning advice, correspondence, PowerPoint presentations and strategic and statutory documents, and liaising and negotiating with authorities
  • A high collaborative ethos and strong communication skills: You are personable and enjoy learning from and partnering with others – taking direction or providing it – and integrate seamlessly into multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong business acumen: You have an understanding of our clients’ business challenges and can identify ‘value add’ opportunities
  • Excellent time management skills: You are very organised, understand the value of time and can prioritise and manage projects successfully in a fast-paced environment

You will also possess key abilities in problem solving and possess personable and clear communication skills.
