Cockburn to Thornlie Link
All Forms of Creative Practice
Emerging to Established Artists
On behalf of NEWest Alliance, element are now seeking Expressions of Interest from artists and creatives (and teams) living in Western Australia for a range of public artworks to be commissioned for METRONET’s Thornlie-Cockburn Link. This will include public artworks for Thornlie station, Ranford Road Station, and Nicholson Road Station. Opportunities include integrated artworks such as text, patterning that may be etched into surfaces, wall-based artworks (tiling designs, murals, paneling), sculptural and functional works. The NEWest Alliance is also keen for teams of multi-disciplinary collaborators to propose alternative ways of responding to the proposed locations and themes. Due to the varied nature of artwork opportunities, all creatives with an interest in the project are invited to apply – including those with a particular connection to place. This may include illustrators, painters, furniture designers, sculptors, photographers, fine artists, poets, musicians, established and emerging artists.
